About Victor Ceballos

Victor Ceballos is a first-generation college student currently attending Johns Hopkins University, where he received a highly competitive merit-based scholarship worth $168,000 — awarded to approximately 20 students in his graduating class. This achievement reflects not just academic excellence, but the kind of intentional, strategic approach to college applications that Victor now brings to every student he works with.

When Victor applied to college, he earned admission to every University of California campus, including UCLA and UC Berkeley (with a Regents Scholarship), every California State University, and USC (with a scholarship). He navigated the entire process himself, without a private advisor — which is exactly why he's so passionate about helping others do it even better. He understands the anxiety, the uncertainty, and the sheer volume of work involved. And he knows it doesn't have to be that hard with the right guidance.

Since founding Blue Jay Advising, Victor's students have been admitted to Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Vanderbilt, USC, and Cornell, as well as campuses across the UC and CSU systems. Today, Victor is double majoring in Neuroscience and Public Health on the pre-med track, conducting research at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the neurology department, and is a proud Hodson Trust Scholar — one of the university's most prestigious merit distinctions. Outside the classroom, he volunteers regularly in his community and is driven by a deep passion for mentorship, education, and expanding opportunity for first-generation and underrepresented students.
